Osmond Resources is progressing the Orión EU critical minerals project, with a focus on a processing plant designed for 2 million tonnes per annum. The scoping study aims to achieve low capital expenditures by concentrating solely on the production of concentrates.
Initial testing of 2 tonnes of outcrop samples is underway to optimize processing methods, with a total of seven tonnes planned. The second drill program has been expanded to 14 holes to explore the high-grade zone west of previous drill hits, with drilling expected to commence soon.
A pre-feasibility study for producing mixed rare earth carbonate has started, with completion anticipated by Q3 2026. The project, located in Spain's Andalusia province, will provide strategic raw materials like rutile and monazite, critical for European supply chains in rare earth technologies. Potential downstream opportunities are being explored to enhance funding and partnerships.
