Outer Dowsing Offshore Wind Farm Receives Development Consent
GTR4 Limited has obtained development consent for the Outer Dowsing Offshore Wind Farm, enhancing the UK’s renewable energy capacity. This project is projected to generate 1.5 GW of offshore wind power, crucial for meeting the UK’s 2030 energy targets.

On February 10, 2026, GTR4 Limited, a collaboration of Corio, TotalEnergies, and Gulf Energy Development, received development consent for the Outer Dowsing Offshore Wind Farm. The project will be situated 54 kilometers off Lincolnshire's coast and will feature up to 100 wind turbines and various infrastructure, including offshore substations and export cables to landfall at Wolla Bank.
Construction may start in 2027, with first power anticipated in 2030. This development aims to contribute to the UK Government's goal of achieving 50 GW of offshore wind by 2030. The Marine Management Organisation collaborated with stakeholders throughout the approval process to address environmental concerns and will support the transition to construction.
