The Finance Minister emphasized the need for improved access to finance and coordination with financial institutions to support production capacity and energy-efficient technology adoption.

During a recent virtual meeting, the electric fan industry highlighted concerns regarding the export of raw copper and aluminium, which is adversely affecting local value-added manufacturing. Representatives from the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) and the Pakistan Electric Fan Manufacturers Association (PEFMA) discussed the need for a balanced policy to support domestic production and energy efficiency initiatives.
The Finance Minister underlined the importance of facilitating investment in capacity expansion, acknowledging that existing financing frameworks must be reviewed to meet sectoral needs. Additionally, discussions addressed SME liquidity issues, tax refunds, and export facilitation.
