Panipat Sugar Mill to Launch Haryana's Largest Ethanol Plant with ₹200 Crore Investment
Panipat Sugar Mill is set to establish a 90,000 litres per day ethanol plant in Haryana, aiming for completion in 15 months. This facility, costing ₹200 crore, will use grains and sugarcane molasses, supplying ethanol to major oil companies, enhancing India's fuel-mixing program.

Panipat Sugar Mill plans to construct Haryana's largest ethanol plant on 10.7 acres, with a production capacity of 90,000 litres per day, at an investment of ₹200 crore. The facility will be operational within 15 months, utilizing rice, maize, pearl millet, and sugarcane molasses as raw materials.
The project proposal is set for approval by local authorities and will follow a tender process to finalize contractors. The plant will adopt zero liquid discharge technology to minimize environmental impacts.
Currently, the largest ethanol facility in Haryana produces 60,000 litres per day at Shahabad Sugar Mill. This new installation is poised to enhance local ethanol supply and support sustainable production practices.
