Paraguay's ANDE Partners with Morphware for Government Bitcoin Mining Project Using Seized Rigs
HYDRO POWER
Paraguay's national power utility ANDE has partnered with crypto infrastructure firm Morphware to launch the first government-led Bitcoin mining pilot project. The initiative will utilize approximately 1,500 confiscated mining rigs and will rely on the country's surplus hydropower.
ANDE will oversee the mining farm, while Morphware will provide the necessary technical and operational support. The Paraguayan government is evaluating options for the mined Bitcoin, including selling it for public expenditure or retaining a portion through financial instruments.
