Beginning April 7, 2024, Park City Municipal and Rocky Mountain Power will underground high-voltage transmission lines in Bonanza Park. Phase one is set for completion in October 2026, followed by a second phase finishing in late spring 2027.

On April 7, 2024, Park City Municipal and Rocky Mountain Power will commence the undergrounding of high-voltage transmission lines in the Bonanza Park area, following City Council approval in 2024. The project includes lane reductions and traffic detours on Kearns Boulevard, with specific diversions scheduled through mid-May.
Phase one is expected to be completed by October 2026, while phase two will bring the new lines into service by late spring 2027. This initiative aims to enhance infrastructure, expand available cemetery plots, and mitigate wildfire risks. Ongoing projects in Park City include High Valley Transit's bus rapid transit on S.R. 224 and improvements on Interstate 80.
