Paso Robles Advances Spaceport and Technology Corridor Initiative with FAA License Proposal
The Paso Robles City Council voted unanimously on March 4 to progress the Spaceport and Technology Corridor initiative by directing staff to prepare a Request for Proposals for the FAA Commercial Spaceport License application. Aerospace consulting firm RS&H confirmed the project’s readiness and identified next steps. The initiative aims to attract high-tech investment and develop aerospace workforce pathways in collaboration with local educational institutions and NASA's Ames Research Center.

An independent review by RS&H confirmed the project’s strong foundation and outlined necessary steps for completion.
The initiative seeks to diversify the local economy by attracting high-tech investments and creating skilled job opportunities, while partnering with local schools and universities for aerospace workforce development. The Paso Robles Municipal Airport, covering 1,300 acres, will support both general aviation and aerospace development, including a dedicated propulsion test site for research and learning.
