Pekat Group Bhd's subsidiary, Pentas RE Sdn Bhd, has signed a 21-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for a 25MWac solar photovoltaic facility with a 40MWh battery energy storage system in Daerah Kuantan, Pahang. The PPA is with an undisclosed industrial off-taker involved in heavy manufacturing and transportation services.

Pentas RE will design, build, own, and operate the facility for the duration of the agreement, which is valued at RM239 million based on projected revenue. This project highlights Pekat's capability in clean energy and reflects the increasing demand for solar and battery storage solutions in Malaysia.
