Pennsylvania Terminates Fast Track Status for Archbald Data Center Project
Project Gravity, a data center proposed by Archbald 25 Developer LLC, is removed from Pennsylvania's Fast Track Program due to non-responsiveness. This decision impacts the project's permitting timeline and potential economic benefits, including a $5 billion investment and job creation.

Archbald 25 Developer LLC's Project Gravity has been removed from Pennsylvania's Fast Track Program, which was designed to facilitate large-scale projects through permitting processes. The Office of Transformation and Opportunity cited lack of responsiveness and transparency as reasons for this termination.
The project includes a seven-building data center campus on 186 acres, with each building measuring 135,000 square feet. The expected investment is $5 billion, promising 300 permanent jobs and 1,200 construction jobs over five years. Approval from the borough's zoning office and planning commission is still pending, and the project's initial acceptance into the Fast Track program occurred on September 22, 2024.
