Performance 8 Energy announced a €310 million investment in a 100 MW battery storage park in Descartes, Indre-et-Loire, aiming to stabilize the regional electricity network. The facility will be constructed on the site of the former Évérite factory, covering two hectares of a nine-hectare area.

It will have a storage capacity of 550 MWh, allowing for rapid electricity release during peak consumption periods, especially in winter. The project is currently in the land acquisition phase, with a sales agreement already signed.
