PT Pertamina is committed to supporting Indonesia's Net Zero Emission target by 2060 through initiatives in sustainable energy and mobility. The company's strategy involves enhancing electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure, including the establishment of charging stations and battery swapping facilities in collaboration with Indonesia Battery Corporation (IBC).
Additionally, Pertamina is constructing an integrated bioethanol plant in Glenmore, East Java, ensuring sustainable raw material supply from local sugarcane plantations. In maritime transport, the company promotes energy efficiency with dual fuel systems and green ammonia, while in aviation, it supports Sustainable Aviation Fuel derived from used cooking oil. This comprehensive approach aligns with global energy transition trends, necessitating collaboration across sectors for effective implementation.
