Pertamina Reports Strong Financial Performance with $1.6 Billion Net Profit as of July 2025
In a recent financial disclosure, Pertamina announced a robust net profit after tax of $1.597 billion, equivalent to approximately Rp 26.19 trillion, as of July 2025. This achievement is complemented by an EBITDA of $6.273 billion and total revenues soaring to $40 billion. Simon Aloysius Mantiri, the company's CEO, emphasized during a hearing with Commission VI of the Indonesian House of Representatives that these strong financial results have enabled Pertamina to sustain its investment-grade credit rating, aligning it closely with the credit standing of the Indonesian government.
Mantiri praised the company's resilience in navigating the challenges posed by volatile crude oil prices, diesel costs, and fluctuating exchange rates. He highlighted that despite facing significant downturns in certain financial parameters, Pertamina has managed to maintain a positive financial trajectory. The company's strategy, termed the "dual growth strategy," focuses on optimizing existing operations while expanding into new ventures, including enhancing upstream activities, refining flexibility, and bolstering retail business transformation alongside infrastructure and service expansion.
Furthermore, Pertamina is actively investing in low-emission business initiatives, exploring avenues such as biofuels, petrochemical downstream development, geothermal capacity enhancement, and the adoption of low-carbon technologies. The company's contributions to the Indonesian economy have been substantial, with a total remittance of Rp 225.6 trillion through taxes, dividends, and non-tax state revenue by July 2025. This positions Pertamina as the largest dividend contributor to the state and the foremost taxpayer among state-owned enterprises, underscoring its pivotal role in Indonesia's economic landscape.
