PetroChina Receives Approval for 100 MW Green Electricity Project in Xinjiang
PetroChina's Tarim Oilfield has received approval for its first green electricity direct connection project in Aksu, Xinjiang. The project will feature a 100 MW PV power station, an ESS power station of 20 MW/80 MWh, a 2.5-km direct power transmission line, and a 110-kV substation.

PetroChina's Tarim Oilfield has secured approval from the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region National Development and Reform Commission for its 'Aksu, Shaya County, Fuman Block PV Green Electricity Direct Connection Project'. This marks PetroChina's first approved green electricity direct connection initiative.
The project will establish a 100,000 kW PV power station in the Taklamakan Desert, supplemented by a 20 MW/80 MWh energy storage system (ESS) to stabilize power supply and mitigate PV power generation curtailment. Additionally, a 2.5-km direct transmission line and a 110-kV substation will connect the power supply to consumption.
