Philippine Geothermal Production Company Plans 400 MW Capacity Expansion Over Next 5-7 Years
Philippine Geothermal Production Company, Inc. (PGPC) aims to expand its geothermal capacity by 250 to 400 megawatts through six projects over the next five to seven years. PGPC currently operates steam fields with a combined capacity of 682 MW and has allocated P3 billion for initial exploration activities in 2026. Key focus areas include Mt. Labo and Mt. Malinao, where drilling has commenced. PGPC is also looking to enter the Mindanao market and may pursue partnerships for larger projects.
