Opportunities in U.S. Geothermal Energy Sector for Czech Companies
The U.S. geothermal energy sector is rapidly evolving, creating export opportunities for manufacturers of power plant components. Czech firms are positioned to capitalize on impending investments and integrate into the growing global geothermal supply chain.

The U.S. is witnessing significant growth in geothermal energy, with 2 GWe of projects under construction or with signed PPAs. Enhanced Geothermal Systems (EGS) are enabling energy extraction from previously unviable locations.
Fervo Energy plans to connect 100 MWe this year and an additional 400 MWe by 2028, holding 680 MWe in PPAs and 2.6 GWe in framework agreements. The market for Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) turbogenerators is dominated by three firms, with competition from new entrants.
Thermal exchangers and components such as valves and pumps are critical, as geological conditions present unique challenges. Trade policies under the previous U.S. administration pose risks, yet demand in the energy sector is driving growth despite potential tariffs.
