Philippines President Marcos Jr. Engages DAMAC Digital for Data Center Investment
DATA AND AI INFRASTRUCTURE
President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. met with DAMAC Digital executives in Abu Dhabi to discuss future investments in the Philippines, particularly a major data center in Laguna with a capacity of up to 250 MW. The investment aims to establish the Philippines as a data center hub in the region and aligns with the government's goal to enhance digital infrastructure.
Marcos emphasized the importance of such investments in strengthening the country's digital economy and creating jobs. This meeting was part of Marcos' two-day visit to the United Arab Emirates, during which he also participated in the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week.
