Philippines Secures Grid Connection Agreements for 1,650 MW Offshore Wind Projects
Seawind Asia AG, Stream Invest Holdings AG, and Triconti ECC Renewables have secured grid connection agreements for offshore wind farms totaling 1,650 MW in the Philippines. The projects include Frontera Bay (450 MW) and Guimaras Strait I & II (600 MW each), with estimated costs of P81.675 billion and P110.88 billion respectively. These agreements mark a significant step in the country's renewable energy sector and are part of preparations for the Green Energy Auction Program scheduled for 2026.

A consortium comprising Seawind Asia AG, Stream Invest Holdings AG, and Triconti ECC Renewables has secured grid connection agreements for offshore wind projects in the Philippines, totaling 1,650 MW. The National Grid Corp. of the Philippines granted approvals for the Frontera Bay project (450 MW) and two Guimaras Strait projects (600 MW each), with total estimated costs of P81.675 billion for Frontera Bay and P110.88 billion for each Guimaras Strait project. The agreements reflect advancements in the regulatory framework and are intended to support participation in the 2026 Green Energy Auction Program, enhancing the Philippines' energy system's decarbonization and security.
