PHINIA Showcases Hydrogen Internal Combustion Engine at ACT Expo 2026
PHINIA debuts its homologated hydrogen internal combustion engine (H2ICE) light commercial vehicle at ACT Expo 2026, aiming for up to 99% reduction in CO2 emissions compared to diesel. This milestone illustrates the company's commitment to lower-carbon mobility solutions and the potential of hydrogen combustion technology.

PHINIA is presenting its first homologated hydrogen internal combustion engine (H2ICE) light commercial vehicle (LCV) at ACT Expo 2026, certified for Euro 7 emissions standards. The vehicle, developed in collaboration with Aramco, has a real-world driving range of up to 500 km and is designed for light commercial applications, capable of carrying six passengers.
The hydrogen combustion system offers significant emissions reductions, with up to 99% lower tailpipe CO2 emissions compared to diesel vehicles. PHINIA's technology supports adaptation across various vehicle types and aims to complement existing internal combustion engines. Experts will discuss hydrogen direct injection and other advanced fuel systems at the event, emphasizing the importance of diverse solutions for emissions reductions in transportation.
