Pioneer Pump Acquires Geoquip Water Solutions and Hydrodif Products in Ipswich
Pioneer Pump, a Suffolk-based manufacturer and part of Franklin Electric Group, has acquired Geoquip Water Solutions and Hydrodif Products, enhancing its capabilities in the UK water and groundwater markets. The acquisition, finalized on December 17, adds 17 employees to Pioneer Pump's existing workforce of 80 and aligns with the company's recent expansion into a larger facility. This move aims to broaden Pioneer Pump's customer base while exploring alternative fuel solutions.

Pioneer Pump, a Suffolk-based pump manufacturer and division of Franklin Electric Group, has acquired two Ipswich businesses: Geoquip Water Solutions, a water treatment and borehole maintenance firm, and Hydrodif Products, a manufacturer of water equipment. The acquisition, completed on December 17, enhances Pioneer Pump's capabilities in the UK water and groundwater markets.
The newly acquired companies employ 17 people, who will join Pioneer Pump's workforce of 80. Pioneer Pump recently expanded its operations by moving to a larger facility in Hadleigh in October 2024. The firm, established in 1998 in Oregon and operating in the UK since 2002, aims to broaden its customer base and strengthen its market presence through this acquisition. It also explores alternative fuel solutions, including hydrogen and solar storage technology.
