PIP and Fourier Launch Hydrogen Energy Storage Pilot in Gujarat
Payal Industrial Park (PIP) partners with Fourier to implement a hydrogen-based energy storage system in Dahej, Gujarat, aiming to provide continuous clean power for industrial operations. This collaboration addresses the limitations of traditional battery systems by combining fast-response capabilities with scalable hydrogen storage, enabling backup for extended durations.

PIP has initiated a project with Fourier to deploy a hydrogen energy storage solution at its Dahej industrial park. This system aims to deliver uninterrupted clean energy, combining renewable generation with hydrogen storage to address the high costs and limitations of traditional batteries.
Fourier's modular hydrogen production units eliminate the need for complex logistics by generating hydrogen on-site. This initiative could serve as a model for industrial clusters across India, particularly as demand for reliable clean power increases in sectors such as manufacturing and data centers. The pilot aligns with India's renewable energy goals and supports the National Green Hydrogen Mission, facilitating a transition to low-carbon energy systems.
