Piraí to Receive R$ 1 Billion Energy and Data Hub after Federal Auction
Piraí, RJ, will receive an investment of approximately R$ 1 billion for the Energy and Data Hub following the UTE Nova Era's success in the Federal Capacity Auction. The project will ensure production of 166 megawatts of energy and includes a modern thermal power plant, a battery energy storage system, and a high-performance data center. Construction is expected to employ around 300 workers, with operations commencing in October 2028, positioning Piraí as a strategic energy and technology hub.
