Pirate Gold Expands Alteration System at Crippleback Lake with New Drilling
Pirate Gold Corp. has confirmed a significant advanced argillic alteration system at Crippleback Lake, measuring 1,700 m by 700 m and extending over 400 m in depth. The ongoing drilling program, targeting the core of this system, aims to enhance understanding of its potential gold and copper mineralization characteristics.

The Crippleback Lake anomaly is part of Pirate Gold's Treasure Island project in Central Newfoundland, spanning over 90 km along the Valentine Lake Fault Zone. Recent drilling has identified extensive alteration zones with sulphide mineralization correlating to a significant electromagnetic anomaly.
Three drill holes have been completed, revealing alteration features such as kaolinite, montmorillonite, and vuggy silica, indicative of high sulphidation epithermal and copper porphyry systems. Ongoing drilling aims to explore deeper levels and further assess the scale and core of the alteration system, which remains open in multiple directions. The presence of visible mineralization does not guarantee high assay grades, and results are pending laboratory analysis.
