Pixxel Space Partners with Exotrail for Satellite Propulsion Systems in India-France Innovation Year
Pixxel Space has partnered with French propulsion provider Exotrail to enhance its satellite capabilities. This agreement, announced during the India-France Innovation Year, will incorporate Exotrail's electric propulsion systems in Pixxel's satellite projects, supporting its Earth Observation initiatives through 2027. The partnership aims to advance satellite maneuvering, operational flexibility, and end-of-life management as part of growing cooperation between India and France in space technology.

Pixxel Space has formed a strategic partnership with French electric propulsion company Exotrail to enhance its satellite capabilities by integrating Exotrail's spaceware electric propulsion systems. This collaboration was announced during the India-France Innovation Year, initiated by French President Emmanuel Macron and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Mumbai.
The partnership aims to support Pixxel's expanding Earth Observation satellite constellation and broader space infrastructure ambitions, with deliveries scheduled through 2027. Exotrail's propulsion systems are designed for satellites ranging from 10 to 1,000 kg, offering improved maneuverability and operational efficiency. This agreement highlights the increasing collaboration between Indian and French space industries.
