Planning Approval Granted for Enborne Solar Farm
West Berkshire Council has approved a solar farm in Enborne, following a contract awarded to Calleva Community Energy Trust. The project features 2,756 solar panels and is designed to meet National Grid capacity limitations.

West Berkshire Council has approved the construction and operation of a solar farm in Enborne, facilitated by Calleva Community Energy Trust. The solar facility will consist of 2,756 solar panels and include ancillary equipment such as inverters and a substation.
The project is phased due to National Grid capacity constraints at the site. Construction plans necessitate site access from Andover Drove and compliance with landscaping conditions, requiring replanting of any plants that do not survive within five years. The solar farm will occupy a secured area within a large grazing field, which will remain largely intact during construction.
