Plansecur Completes CO2 Compensation for Kassel Service Center Through Global Climate Projects
Plansecur has fully compensated the CO2 emissions from its service center in Kassel, totalling around 330 tons annually, in celebration of its 40th anniversary. A greenhouse gas balance was created with Fokus Zukunft, which identified all major emissions sources.
Compensation funds are allocated to certified climate projects: a clean water project in Nepal, Dapein Hydropower Project in Myanmar, and Longyuan Mulilo De Aar 2 North wind farm in South Africa. The Nepal project enhances water quality, the Myanmar project generates over one million megawatt-hours of clean energy annually, and the South African wind farm has 96 turbines producing 144 megawatts, contributing to a reduction of approximately 4.34 million tons of CO2 equivalents.
