PLD Space is set to construct a new rocket manufacturing facility in Porta d'Elx, Elche, following a memorandum signed with the Generalitat Valenciana. The project, covering nearly 500,000 square meters, aims to begin land preparation in January 2027 and expects to double the current workforce to around 1,000 by mid-2028.

To support this, the Generalitat will provide a manager to streamline administrative processes and facilitate vocational training in local institutes for required specialist roles in metalworking. The factory is designed for the production of the Miura 5 rocket, with the prototype's first flight planned for late 2026.
