PLN and National Energy Council Review Energy Supply for Central Java's Industrial Sector
PT PLN (Persero) UID Central Java and DIY hosted the National Energy Council (DEN) to assess electric energy supply and industrial energy needs in Central Java on February 12, 2026. The visit included inspections at Kendal Special Economic Zone and Batang Integrated Industrial Area. PLN reported a 4.44% increase in electricity sales in 2025, totaling 35,804 GWh. Future developments include additional capacity in Kendal and Batang, with ongoing investments in reliable electricity infrastructure and clean energy initiatives.

On February 12, 2026, PT PLN (Persero) UID Central Java and DIY met with the National Energy Council (DEN) to evaluate electricity supply and industrial energy needs in Central Java. The tour included Kendal Special Economic Zone and Batang Integrated Industrial Area.
PLN's General Manager, Bramantyo Anggun Pambudi, highlighted the strategic importance of aligning national energy policies with local industrial energy demands. In 2025, PLN's electricity sales reached 35,804 GWh, marking a 4.44% increase.
Current projects include 13 industrial connections in Kendal with 208.8 MVA capacity and ongoing development in Batang, including a high-voltage Data Center. PLN emphasizes the need for reliable energy supply that supports national energy transition efforts.
