PT PLN (Persero) UIP Nusra announced the successful construction of the 30 MW Sumbawa 2 Gas Engine Power Plant and the 150 kV Jeranjang-Sekotong transmission line, aimed at improving electricity reliability in Nusa Tenggara Barat. The SUTT spans 31.22 kilometers with 76 transmission towers and was energized on October 23, 2025, receiving its operational certificate in November 2025.
The Sumbawa 2 plant, utilizing three dual fuel engines from Wartsila, Finland, enhanced system capacity from 168 MW to 191.91 MW with a 21% reserve margin. This strategic infrastructure supports economic growth and energy efficiency, contributing significantly to the local community.
