Plug Power Partners with GH2 Global to Launch Hydrogen Fuel Cell Solutions in Brazil

HYDROGEN

In a strategic move to advance hydrogen technology in Brazil, Plug Power has announced a partnership with GH2 Global, aiming to implement hydrogen fuel cell systems and refueling infrastructure tailored for logistics and material handling operations. Through this collaboration, Plug Power will provide its GenDrive fuel cells, designed to replace traditional battery and fossil fuel systems in forklifts across distribution centers and industrial hubs.

GH2 Global, a prominent Brazilian infrastructure firm, will oversee the integration, permitting, and rollout of these innovative technologies within the local landscape. The partnership's initial focus will be on large logistics and industrial poles, with future expansion anticipated into other strategic regions across Brazil.

Plug Power's CEO, Andy Marsh, emphasized that this alliance allows the U.S. company to deploy its established hydrogen technologies in a market ripe with renewable energy potential and significant industrial demand. GH2's General Director, Augusto Bias Dar Junior, highlighted Brazil's renewable energy infrastructure, asserting that it positions the country as one of the most competitive markets globally for hydrogen adoption. As Brazil continues to develop its pipeline of large-scale green hydrogen projects, it is poised to leverage its abundant renewable resources to emerge as a critical player in the global hydrogen export market.
