PM Modi to Launch Major Development Projects in West Bengal and Odisha
Prime Minister Narendra Modi's two-day visit on June 20-21 will focus on significant infrastructure and agricultural initiatives across West Bengal and Odisha, with projects valued over Rs 47,600 crore announced. The visit includes the launch of naval vessels and participation in International Yoga Day events, reflecting a commitment to regional development and socio-economic empowerment.

During his June 20-21 visit, Prime Minister Modi will initiate projects totaling over Rs 47,600 crore in Odisha, spanning energy, education, and infrastructure, including a 600 MW pumped storage project. In West Bengal, he will unveil the 23rd instalment of the PM-KISAN scheme, transferring Rs 18,880 crore to farmers, and launch multiple agricultural initiatives, including the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana.
Modi will also commission three naval ships at Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port. His engagements aim to enhance socio-economic conditions and reinforce the government's presence in key sectors, although potential pushback from local opposition may arise.
