PMET Advances Shaakichiuwaanaan Project with ESIA Submission and Power Application
PMET Resources has submitted the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) for the Shaakichiuwaanaan Project, with the Federal government deeming it complete. This marks a critical step towards mine authorization, supported by a positive lithium-only Feasibility Study indicating significant mineral resources and reserves.

PMET Resources Inc. submitted the ESIA for the Shaakichiuwaanaan Project on March 31, 2026, a regulatory requirement under the JBNQA. The Federal Impact Assessment Agency has classified the ESIA as complete, initiating the public consultation period until May 28, 2026.
The Project's Consolidated Mineral Resource includes 108.0 Mt at 1.40% LiO and 166 ppm TaO (Indicated). Additionally, a maiden Mineral Reserve of 84.3 Mt at 1.26% LiO has been declared. The company is advancing its application for power allocation from Hydro Quebec, enhancing its operational efficiency with low-cost renewable energy. As geopolitical tensions rise, the Project positions Quebec as a key player in the critical minerals market.
