Poland's Special Economic Zones Report Record Investments Amid Job Decline
Poland's special economic zones reported record investments of PLN 22 billion in 2025, driven by significant projects such as data centers and battery materials. However, new job creation promises declined to 3,600, attributed to automation and demographic challenges. Looking ahead, the focus will shift towards defense projects and addressing revenue losses from expiring permits after 2026.

In 2025, Poland's special economic zones issued 646 support decisions, with investment outlays reaching PLN 22 billion. Major projects included data centers and battery materials, led by the Wałbrzych, Katowice, Pomeranian, and Łódź zones.
