Polar Lithium has begun pilot production of lithium at the Kolmozerskoye Deposit in the Murmansk Region, according to Russian Minister of Natural Resources Alexander Kozlov. The joint venture between Rosatom and Norilsk Nickel plans to achieve full-scale production within four years. The development plan for the Kolmozerskoye Deposit includes a target output of 45,000 metric tons per year of lithium carbonate and hydroxide, with the first production expected by 2028.
