Power Mech Projects Secures ₹3,126 Crore Battery Storage Orders from WBSEDCL in West Bengal
Power Mech Projects Ltd, through its subsidiary PM Green Private Ltd, has secured a ₹3,126 crore contract from WBSEDCL for a 250 MW / 1,000 MWh Battery Energy Storage System in Goaltore, West Bengal. The project, which includes a 100% off-take guarantee and an option for an additional 250 MW/1,000 MWh, will be executed under a build-own-operate model and is expected to be commissioned within 18 months. Additionally, Power Mech reported an 11.7% increase in net profit for Q2 FY25, reaching ₹74.92 crore, along with a 19.5% rise in revenue to ₹1,237.8 crore.

Power Mech Projects Ltd announced that its subsidiary, PM Green Private Ltd, has received a ₹3,126 crore order from West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd (WBSEDCL) for a 250 MW / 1,000 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) at Goaltore, West Bengal. The order includes a 100% off-take guarantee and a greenshoe option for an additional 250 MW/1,000 MWh at Durgapur.
The project will follow a build-own-operate model and covers design, finance, engineering, procurement, construction, operation, and maintenance. Commissioning is expected within 18 months from the Battery Energy Storage Purchase Agreement signing, with a subsequent 180-month operation period. Power Mech Projects reported an 11.7% increase in net profit to ₹74.92 crore for Q2 FY25, alongside a 19.5% revenue rise to ₹1,237.8 crore.
