PowerCell Reports Decline in Q2 2026 Revenue, Targets AI Datacenter Growth

PowerCell's revenue for Q2 2026 reached 37 million SEK, marking a 72% decline compared to the same quarter last year. The operating loss was reported at 52.2 million SEK, down from a profit of 22.4 million SEK in the previous year.
Excluding a one-time effect from a licensing deal with Bosch from the previous year, the revenue drop was 46%. Despite this downturn, PowerCell secured an order worth approximately 30 million SEK for power supply to an AI datacenter post-quarter, and formed a partnership with ECL for over 300 MW of hydrogen-based power, with Bosch as an industrial partner.
Additionally, the company signed a contract for 4 MW marine fuel cell systems valued at about 50 million SEK and a follow-up order in the aviation sector worth around 12 million SEK. The focus on AI datacenters suggests a strategic shift towards reliable, fossil-free power solutions as demand scales with AI infrastructure development.
