Powerhouse Energy Group plc has signed a 25-year lease for a 1.98-acre site at Silverwood Business Park, Ballymena, Northern Ireland. The company plans to build a facility to convert 40 tonnes of waste per day into 99.999% pure hydrogen.

The lease includes a rent-free period of up to 12 months, with five-year rent reviews. A planning application will be submitted to the Mid and East Antrim Borough Council, with approval required for the lease to become effective. Discussions on feedstock and offtake agreements are underway.
