PowerX to Establish Battery Storage Manufacturing Facility in Hokkaido, Japan by June 2027
PowerX, Inc. plans a new manufacturing facility in Tomakomai City, Hokkaido, to produce large-scale battery storage systems. Named 'Power Base Hokkaido,' the facility is set to begin operations by June 2027 with an investment of approximately 3.0 billion yen. It will manufacture the 'Mega Power 2500' Battery Energy Storage System, targeting an annual production of 800 units and a total storage capacity of about 2 GWh. This expansion supports Japan's renewable energy integration and aims to enhance local energy systems.
