PRAGATI Platform Fast-Tracks 53 Power Projects Worth ₹4.12 Lakh Crore in India
The PRAGATI platform has accelerated the implementation of 53 power projects in India, totaling ₹4.12 lakh crore, with 43 projects already commissioned. This initiative has streamlined processes related to land acquisition and environmental clearances, contributing to improved power availability and grid reliability. Notable projects include the Gadarwara and Lara Super Thermal Power Projects, alongside various transmission and hydroelectric initiatives.

The PRAGATI platform, established by the Government of India for project implementation, has expedited the review and commissioning of 53 power sector projects valued at ₹4.12 lakh crore. Out of these, 43 projects worth ₹3 lakh crore have been commissioned, with the remaining 10 at various stages of completion.
These projects include 27 transmission, 14 thermal, nine hydroelectric, and three coal mine projects. A total of 237 power projects worth ₹10.53 lakh crore have been reviewed across multiple levels, with significant issue resolution related to land acquisition, environmental clearances, and Right-of-Way matters.
Notable projects include the Gadarwara and Lara Super Thermal Power Projects, and the Tehri Pumped Storage Project. PRAGATI has improved inter-departmental coordination and reduced delays, enhancing power availability and grid reliability in India.
