President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited Termez to assess the $287 million project improving drinking water supply in Surkhandarya, which has increased centralized coverage from 47% to 67.5%. The initiative includes the construction of 246 kilometers of water networks, benefiting ten districts and Termez city, and reducing water hardness by half. The project saves 18.4 million kilowatt-hours of electricity annually, enhancing public health and appliance longevity.
