Prime Batteries Recognized in BloombergNEF's Global Ranking of Energy Storage Manufacturers
Prime Batteries, a Romanian battery manufacturer established in 2016 in Cernica, was recognized in BloombergNEF's global ranking of energy storage equipment manufacturers. The company reported RON 276 million in revenue and RON 51 million in net profit for 2024, marking increases of 34% and 20%, respectively.
EIT InnoEnergy became a shareholder in 2022, followed by T2Y Capital's investment. Prime Batteries formed a joint venture with South Korea's Top Material for active material production. In December 2025, it signed an EPC contract with Electrica for the Fântânele Energy Storage Facility, a 70 MWh project with a EUR 16.5 million investment, scheduled for completion in 2026.
