Project Tango Data Center Redesign Addresses Community Concerns in Acreage, Florida
Project Tango, a proposed AI data center in Acreage, Florida, has been redesigned to address local residents' concerns regarding noise, environmental impact, and power consumption. Developer Ernie Cox has reduced the data center size from 1.8 million square feet to 1,032,000 square feet, while increasing warehouse space to over 2.3 million square feet. The distance to nearby residential areas and schools has been doubled to 2,000 feet, and water usage has been cut to 5,000 gallons per day. County commissioners will vote on the updated proposal in April.
