Prologis Plans 576-Acre Data Center Campus in Shelbyville, Indiana
Prologis is proposing a 576-acre data center development in Shelbyville, Indiana, comprising 13 buildings. Lorm LLC and Alisha Clay seek to annex 429 acres from agricultural zoning to General Industrial, combining it with previously annexed land.
The site will utilize closed-loop cooling and is favored by city staff due to existing infrastructure, including Duke Energy transmission lines. City officials will discuss the project this week, despite local opposition, with over 2,100 residents petitioning against it.
Prologis aims to expand its data center capacity, targeting up to 10 GW over the next decade. The company currently has 1.4 GW secured and 1.6 GW in advanced procurement, with ongoing projects in multiple states including Illinois, Virginia, and California.
