Proparco, Yas, and AXIAN Energy have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to invest up to €300 million over the next three years in Africa's digital and energy sectors. The partnership will focus on expanding digital infrastructure, including mobile networks and data centers, to improve connectivity in underserved areas.
In the energy domain, the collaboration will develop renewable energy sources and battery storage solutions, alongside efforts in electricity transmission and rural electrification. Financial services initiatives, such as mobile money and microcredit, will also be supported to enhance financial inclusion. This initiative reflects a strategic response to the urgent need for resilient infrastructure in Africa, aiming to foster economic growth and territorial competitiveness.
