Proposed Data Center Development in Northumberland, UK Near QTS Project
DATA AND AI INFRASTRUCTURE
A new data center campus is proposed in Northumberland, UK, close to QTS's $13bn data center development. While plans have not yet been submitted, leaflets detailing the proposal have been distributed in the West Sleekburn area.
The site is located directly south of the River Wansbeck, north of Brock Lane, and east of the A189, currently used for agriculture. The project is about one mile north of QTS's Cambois project, which will feature a 540,000 sqm campus at the former Blyth Power Station, capable of accommodating up to ten data center buildings totaling 720MW at full build-out.
