Protolabs Joins Space Foundation to Advance Aerospace Innovation
Protolabs has joined the Space Foundation to enhance aerospace innovation and education. The collaboration aims to support both governmental and commercial aerospace entities through advanced manufacturing capabilities and expertise.

On May 20, 2026, Protolabs (NYSE: PRLB) announced its membership in the Space Foundation, contributing its extensive experience in aerospace manufacturing. Protolabs' AS9100 certified European facility in Telford will support the aerospace sector with high-quality parts.
The company enables nearshoring of supply chains for aerospace firms, reducing component shortages. Their 3D printing center in Putzbrunn enhances capabilities in additive manufacturing, particularly through investments in Multi-Jet Fusion technology. Protolabs also updated its e-commerce platform with ProDesk to streamline product development and procurement processes.
