PT Freyabadi Indotama Implements Heat Pump Technology for Energy Efficiency and Emission Reduction
The implementation of heat pump technology at PT Freyabadi Indotama demonstrates a viable approach to reducing carbon emissions while enhancing energy efficiency in Indonesia's manufacturing sector. This initiative, part of the Sustainable Energy Transition in Indonesia (SETI) project, aims to address significant operational costs and environmental impacts associated with fossil fuel dependency.

PT Freyabadi Indotama's implementation of heat pump technology is part of a broader strategy to improve operational sustainability and reduce carbon emissions. The company, in collaboration with the Directorate General of New Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation (EBTKE), is involved in the SETI project, which is projected to contribute approximately 37% toward national emission reduction targets by 2030.
The use of heat pumps is expected to lower emissions by 145.5 tons of CO2 annually, while saving around IDR 744.2 million in operational costs. This showcases that adopting proven technologies can provide measurable economic and environmental benefits. The project could serve as a reference point for other industries aiming to enhance energy efficiency and competitiveness.
