PT Jamrud Andalas Jaya Claims Rp3.4 Billion Losses from Unpaid Payments in Nongsa Data Center Project
PT Jamrud Andalas Jaya has reported losses of Rp3.4 billion from unpaid payments related to its contracts for the Nongsa Data Center project in Batam, primarily due to delays and withheld retention funds from main contractor PT China Construction Yangtze River Indonesia. The losses stem from three contracts, with significant amounts attributed to unpaid equipment, labor, and retention payments.

The construction of a data center at Nongsa Digital Park in Batam has led to significant issues, with local contractor PT Jamrud Andalas Jaya reporting losses of Rp3.4 billion due to unpaid payments from main contractor PT China Construction Yangtze River Indonesia (CCYR). The company was contracted for three packages of work from September 2024 to 2025.
The first contract faced delays, resulting in losses of Rp2.6 billion due to partial payments for equipment and labor. The second contract, related to concrete retaining walls, saw unpaid retention payments resulting in losses of Rp233 million.
In the third contract, the initial value of Rp5.6 billion was reduced to Rp2.7 billion, and retention funds were withheld, leading to additional losses of Rp473 million. Total reported losses amount to Rp3.4 billion.
