PT Kimia Alam Subur Proposes Waste Management Partnership with Samarinda Using Pyrolysis Technology
PT Kimia Alam Subur has proposed a waste management partnership with the Samarinda city government, leveraging pyrolysis technology to convert waste into valuable products without impacting the regional budget. The initiative, which aims to process up to 500 tons of waste daily, received a favorable response from Mayor Andi Harun, who requested a detailed technical proposal. The partnership, proposed for a minimum of 20 years, would involve the establishment of a facility on approximately 2 hectares of land, funded entirely by investors.

PT Kimia Alam Subur (KAS) has presented a plan for an environmentally friendly waste management partnership to the Samarinda city government, utilizing pyrolysis technology. This approach aims to convert waste into valuable products without burdening the regional budget.
KAS collaborates with international technology principal Co Energy, which has researched pyrolysis-based waste processing for approximately 20 years. The proposal received a positive response from Samarinda's Mayor Andi Harun, who requested a more detailed technical proposal.
The pyrolysis technology can produce three types of products: petrochemical liquid for fuel, biochar for fertilizer or soil improvement, and syngas for reactor fuel. The reactor has a capacity of 25 tons per hour, processing up to 500 tons of waste daily, funded entirely by investors. KAS proposes a minimum partnership duration of 20 years, with plans for a waste processing facility requiring around 2 hectares of land.
