PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk Reports Strong Financial Performance in H1 2025

In the first half of 2025, PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGN) demonstrated robust financial health, reporting an impressive revenue of $1.9 billion and a net profit of $144 million. The company's EBITDA stood at $463 million, underscoring its operational efficacy. CEO Arief Kurnia Risdianto shared these results during a public exposure event in Jakarta, emphasizing PGN's unwavering commitment to ensuring a reliable supply of natural gas for its customers.

Over the initial six months of the year, PGN's gas distribution reached a significant volume of 832 billion British thermal units per day. Additionally, the company reported a gas transmission volume of 1,627 million standard cubic feet per day. Beyond these core operations, PGN made noteworthy strides in alternative segments, including oil transportation, which saw a contribution of 173,159 barrels of oil equivalent per day, and the international trade of liquefied natural gas (LNG), successfully delivering three shipments to China and engaging four potential new buyers.

As of mid-2025, PGN’s customer base includes 820,021 clients, comprised of 3,298 industrial and commercial customers, 2,644 small customers, and 814,079 residential users. This diverse clientele reflects PGN's strategic focus on growth, particularly in enhancing its gas transmission and distribution networks.

The company is also adapting to market changes by implementing various new initiatives aimed at improving efficiency and effectiveness in gas distribution. Current projects include the revitalization of the Arun F-6004 tank, which is 81.10% complete, and the oil transportation project between Cikampek and Plumpang, already in the material procurement phase. Furthermore, PGN is advancing the Tegal-Cilacap project into its feed and commercial arrangement stages while exploring biomethane initiatives to support lower carbon emissions.

Through these efforts, PGN remains dedicated to optimizing its operations, ensuring that it meets the growing demand for natural gas in a sustainable manner throughout 2025 and beyond.
