Pune Municipal Corporation Approves ₹135 Crore Water Supply Project for Keshavnagar, Mundhwa
The Pune Municipal Corporation has approved a ₹135 crore water supply project for Keshavnagar in Mundhwa, aiming to enhance the drinking water infrastructure in newly merged villages. The project includes a 6.19 km main pipeline, a 600 kW pumping system, and a 71.5 km distribution network, alongside the construction of six overhead water tanks.

The Pune Municipal Corporation's standing committee approved a ₹135 crore water supply project for Keshavnagar in Mundhwa on March 28, 2026. The initiative includes laying a 6.19 km main pipeline with diameters from 200 mm to 800 mm and installing a 600 kW high-capacity pumping system, alongside a 71.5 km distribution network.
Six overhead water tanks, each with a capacity of 2.5 to 3.5 million litres, will be built to ensure adequate pressure. The project aims to improve water availability and reduce reliance on costly water tankers. Funding will be phased over the financial years 2026-29.
